Dr. Michael Beckwith Dines at Evolve Restaurant in Takoma DC...

 

Beckwith enjoyed his time so much so that he visited the restaurant twice, on Saturday and Sunday.  According to the owner Baruch Ben Yehudah, he enjoyed a plate of the mac and cheese and vegan drumsticks. He was accompanied by his wife, who commented on Evolve being most likely the best vegan soul food they have had.

Here’s one big vote cast for “wheat meats.” Music legend Stevie Wonder made a surprise drop-in at Takoma’s Evolve Vegan Restaurant for dinner on Tuesday. The singer was in Washington to meet with the Federal Communications Commission.

Vegan Restaurant Owner Plans More Takoma Spots

Baruch Ben-Yehudah, the owner of the Everlasting Life vegan restaurants in D.C., is rebranding one vegan restaurant and opening another new one in Takoma this summer.

Evolve Vegan Restaurant has replaced an Everlasting Life at 341 Cedar Street NW. It serves vegan takes on dishes such as mac and cheese and fried "chick-un." The restaurant will add some new lunch options and cocktails, too.
